I start working at a farmer's market on Sunday. I've been working there for the last 17 years, this is just my first week back this summer.

And tomorrow will most liking be just errands and finishing unpacking from my Europe adventure.

Oh and baking to mail cookies to a friend! I'm planning on making sugar cookies in the shapes of dinosaurs and then trying a new recipe for rum and coke cookies.

Ugh. I wish I had a farmer's market where I lived. Flea markets and farmers markets seem to be something OK does not believe in. :(

How was your European adventures?

I love my farmer's market. I work for a friend of my dad's and really it's just something to keep me busy and it's super laid back. The customers have literally watched me grow up and I know the regulars really well.

Europe was so amazing! I want to go back. I went to 7 cities in 7 countries in 10 days, so obviously not enough time in all of the places but it was a good overview and I made some really amazing friends, one of whom I'm baking stuff for.

Lucky (on both counts)!

Everyone always says I'm brave for going by myself but then the vacation is purely what I want to do, I meet up with a tour group and make tons of friends and it's great. I really love these tours and can't wait for more.

I am going on my first actual vacation next year (hopefully)! I don't count visiting family because that is more of a chore.

Vacations really are the best. I'm not one to go lay on a beach for a week, so I go visit cities all over the US and then I'll find these week long trips to Europe where I can see as much as I can in as little time as possible.

Yeah, I hate the beach. >.>

Not sure what part of OK you're in, but it does have farmers markets and flea markets.

I mean, it's cool if there aren't any close to your neighborhood but please don't make OK sound like some sort of desert wasteland.

There are some farmer's markets here and there. But the things that OK tries to pass off as flea markets are sad. Just...sad.
