Not so sure, Steve is short, 5'4, and most guys I know near that height still have quite a bit of trouble getting dates :(

I suspect that's it, yeah. Most women like taller guys. Not to say there aren't some pervy hobbit fanciers out there, but it does kind of stack the odds against him.

Why do women that like average or even *gasp* shorter guys must be perverts?? I'm only 5'8'' but I prefer to date guys my height or shorter.

There are also plenty of women who are shorter than 5'4, so even some girls who want a guy taller than them might still be willing to date him. One of my friends is only 5'0 and I know quite a few girls who are 5'2 or so.
