(Anonymous) 2015-07-18 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)There was a short story where this fact was used as a plot point, in that the souls of these dead people came back every time the tracks were used, and the main character got trapped in one. Can't remember the title, the author, or which SFF mag it was in, but I'm pretty sure it was from the 1990s.
