For the most part I can't remember which exact episodes (it was a looooong time ago), except the one where Sam was angry about the school dissecting frogs. That was the first episode I saw, and IDK, she just came off as self-righteous to me. (Again, it was a long time ago. My impression of Sam could be totally off-base.)

Though now that you mention it, the plot of Double Cross My Heart sounds very familiar. I think I may have seen that one too.

Oh yeah. Yes she kind of did. The "stand against the dissection of frogs" plot seems a pretty standard one for establishing a character is outspoken or an environmentalist. (often ignoring the fact that the frogs aren't being killed for a lesson. They're already dead.)

Really my big pet peeve with her is the whole "the Soapbox Sadie MUST be right" thing. ignoring a character's faults and manner of doing things because she has noble intentions.

Intentions don't mean much if your approach shoots your cause in the foot.
