Peter was poison to Gwen and it's hard to excuse that.

MJ was kind of what he needed, because she would call him on his behavior. But it seems like the difference is that MJ knew what she was getting into.

It's hard to compare Pete & MJ as what they became to the childish, secret-keeping relationship Pete had with Gwen.

If Gwendy had lived, I think they could have eventually both grown up a bit. She might have become like Anna Maria is to him, a sort of ex who calls him on his immature tendencies. Or she could have been more like Deb Whitman, argh.

I think my ship may be Petey/NotDebWhitman. Poor Deb.
