A question for the Japanese experts (specifically Kansai-ben)
(Anonymous) 2015-07-19 12:44 am (UTC)(link)I'm working on translating an anime by ear (no closed captioning is available), and there is one word that I cannot find the meaning of, though it's used multiple times.
The character that says it is a middle-aged man with a sometimes VERY thick Kansai accent. It's a random one-word phrase, in line with "mattaku" and "teyandee".
As far as I can tell, it sounds like "deroubumi" or "darabumi".
(To give you an idea how I know I sometimes mishear, it took forever for me to work out "teyandee" because I kept hearing "kiyandi". Yeah...)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
