I have a lot of artistic urges, but they almost always never go anywhere because I'm a lazy ass. The last time I gave in was a drawing, but it was so disappointing it sapped my motivation and I'm only considering continuing now that I remember it...

It seems you're a lot more hardworking than me, so you get further into the action stages of it. So I don't have any advice from experience, because I just wait them out, and when I do give in, I give up before it gets elaborate and I can toss it aside.
