While I can see how this book would rile up SJWs something fierce, I think it's more likely that it will never get a fandom because literally nobody cares about it.

I don't know the book but I was thinking the same

Tumblr isn't as huge or influential as people think it is

No, listen, the only thing everyone in the world doesn't like the exact same things as me is because of fucking leftists

What's the book about and why would it make SJWs mad?

See below, but basically it's the story of a man who was misdiagnosed as trans, went through surgical gender reassignment, didn't have his life fixed, struggled, saw a new therapist and finally got his head straight, and went back to life as a man.

SJWs will fail as SJWs if that happens. Not everyone who thinks they're trans is trans. That's why I'm glad there are psychological tests out there to put barriers up for people to go through before they make a near-permanent decision. This is also why, as much as I don't understand it myself since I'm cis, I am very glad that gender fluidity is becoming more acceptable. Not everyone fits neatly into male and female, nor even into transmale and transfemale.

The fairly regular failure of SJWs as SJWs aside, this guy is an anti-trans activist now, who's publicly said that trans politics are pro-pedophilia. There's not really space for that in a worldview that allows for the existence of actual trans people.

It's not even that nobody cares about it. Books rarely get fandoms, or at least they rarely get the kind where people are writing fic and making fanart and such. And usually to get a fandom, a book has to be part of a series.
