Ugh. Yes. So frustrating.

Even when it's my favourite ship when I watch or read the canon, I just wind up not caring about the fandom side of it because there's not as much to get me interested in discussing it or imagining all the what ifs. Meanwhile, same fandom, slash ship: 50 different tumblr posts dissecting the look one dude gave another dude for 0.5 seconds. Hundreds of pages of long plotty fics on AO3.

Yeppppp. It pretty much depresses me any time I compare the availability of stuff between slash and f/f. It's like night and day.

I still absorb what there is, because I love it, but yeah.
