Sorry. It was exactly like that. He spent the entire show insisting she loved him and not taking no for an answer. She had no interest and disliked him. He was also extremely irritating. At some point he cloned a "cool" actually nice version of himself who she started dating. That's the only reason she was ever able to see something positive in him. Then at the end, somehow she loves him and they get married. It was awful.

No need to apologize, I never got into the show so I have no personal stake in it. I just really hate that trope.
