That's short-sighted, but...understandable? As people we tend to project our own feelings on things.

'Bout to say. If I went through what that poor man went through, I might not be too pro-trans either. Sometimes people get screwed over and it affects how they view things.

Yeah, I understand how this man's trauma has likely affected his views. I just am annoyed by this troll secret, is all; the idea that SJWs are somehow preventing an autobiography about an abuse victim from getting a huge fandom is weirdly obnoxious to me, despite how lazy a troll it is.

Something about people writing fanfiction for autobiographies of abuse victims just seems wrong to me.

Like I can understand the motive behind people wanting to write a fix fic where they get help and stuff. but still, you're trying to rewrite someone's LIFE.

This... could have very easily been me. (Longer comment with details posted above.) I am not anti-trans in the slightest. I can see where someone who went through that would be concerned about screening methods and maybe want more thorough ones (but it sounds like he had a really irresponsible doctor, too; most of the people I know who have medically transitioned went through hell trying to get a medical professional to okay it, because so many are/were anti-trans, though it's getting better, whereas it sounds like the psych okayed it after one visit, which does not give you enough time to get an idea of what's going on with a patient for any fucking disorder out there), but assuming that all trans people share his experience is... not good, especially when there's a lot of evidence to the contrary.
