Ditto on the summary thing. In particular, I hate it when people's summaries consist entirely of a quote (like, not even a quote from their actual fic but just a well known quote that they feel works with their story. That really doesn't tell me anything about what's going on in your fic!)

Haha, I don't see what the point of that is, but I'm sure in my time in fandom I've read fic that had such a summary. Probably even enjoyed them too, but I find a brief explanation of what's in the actual fic much more appealing. Or, if you're going to leave a quote, at least let it be one from your fic. I've seen some rather excellent fic do that, and if the quote is catchy enough it'll pique my interest.
