Everything... turns out alright. Utena and Anthy are platonic life partners basically, pretty sure it hinted at a possible Utena/Touga future.

It's not necessarily bad, but it would be so if you're looking for something that's faithful to the series. Generally, fans who watched the anime first don't like the manga due to the differences (big eg: Juri takes some of Nanami's role, as well as is in love with Touga. Who is more of a typical shoujo prince type). Also, Akio/Dios is interpreted different in this, but there is still the deconstruction going on.

If you account for the fact that these were two projects that were made alongside eachother, but not with, think of it as two different authors giving their take on a prompt. Imo, even if it's not my favourite and haven't read it since I was a teen, I think it's still worth a read.
