8. I liked him (back when I watched the show), but what annoyed me where his obsessed fangirls, the ones that went on and on about how nobody loved wodney, and how Shep was stealing his spotlight, and the show should revolve around wodney because seconds dedicated to other characters were a waste.

33. I don't think I'll ever get over my love for that show, I was never in the fandom though, but from the remants of Relena-hatred I've seen I'm kind of glad I missed all that.

65. I can't get into a series if there aren't any cute and pretty characters, that way I can focus on the pretty and ignore the ugly ones.

8) I'm glad I never came across any of that. I love McKay, because he's whiny and because he's annoying, because it seems so much more real to me than the 'heroes save the day' pattern that the stargate universe can fall into so easily. And I think he's far more complex than the OP gives him credit for. I loved him almost more back when he was on SG1 and he had almost no redeeming features. He was just there to piss people off, and I did enjoy that.

33) I got into the fandom before I watched the show. Bad idea. I remember the first time I saw Wufei on the screen, I barely recognised him. He was so much cooler in the show, fandom was never able to capture his character.
The Relena hatred was....outstanding, and I joined fandom late (and missed the worst of it). It's the one thing I don't miss.

8. My thoughts exactly, he was supposed to be annoying, and so not the victim some people in fandom make him out to be. He gives as good as he gets, so when I read episode reviews with people talking as if he were a battered wife I could do nothing but roll my eyes, poor woobie so mistreated by Sheppard. Were we even watching the same show?

33. I never got into the fandom, now I'm glad because I've seen how OOC the concept some people have of the characters, and what a bad light the fandom painted Relena on, I'm glad I never got involved in all that.
