So, in other words, a multiple-party system disperses power evenly enough to prevent things like that from happening. Thank you, that's much more reasonable.

(Although it's worth pointing out that electoral districts are fixed by the states, not by the federal government, which makes it harder to ensure that groups don't have a majority) (And also, I would argue, that alliance-making would tend to diminish the dynamic you're talking about)
