A LJ-esque blog site not in Eng. I did a search for AOU reactions and about 30% were negative. Bu-uut people in Avengers and Marvel comics fandoms liked it.

Oh, fair enough! I'm on the edges of the tumblr MCU/Avengers fandom, and the consensus there seems to be pretty solidly anti-AOU - which is why I was so surprised to hear that there were parts of the fandom with NO negative reaction. But of course there are all sorts of corners to every fandom!
