Re: Dragon books?

I remember that series because it got more and more obvious that the idea of being a pregnant dragon and laying a clutch of eggs was something that turned Yolen on. It culminated in a scene where two characters cut their way inside a dead dragon's womb to keep from freezing to death, and this somehow transformed them into dragon-people.

I do remember a scene where they had to take shelter in a dead dragon. Didn't notice or catch on to a fetish. Was it an obvious thing in later books? I've always meant to finish it.

I read the first book In some kind of book compilation of seven dragon based books. There were others but too long ago. One involved like desert population that road dragons and had an army.
