Not the person you were talking to, but Ice is a great episode! I'm happy you're enjoying the X-Files so far. :D The first couple of seasons have some episodes that stumble a bit, but it really hits its stride in the third, and it goes strong for a long time.

Yeah, the only episode I was meh on was Squeeze I think. And the only thing that annoys me a bit is how at the end of every episode the bad thing does something at the end. Like, come back to life (computer) or have a kid (the cannibal one).

Oh yeah they really push that button hard in season 1, I think. Sometimes really stupidly, too.

Also just out of curiosity what were your issues with Squeeze? It's usually regarded pretty highly by the fanbase (not that that necessarily means anything ofc).

Nothing to do with the story itself. Just my misconceptions. I was under the impression that X-Files went pretty hard on the idea that these things could be ALIENS or just science for the first couple seasons at least.

Like, they would be way more ambiguous. But at the end I was just like, Oh no. His eyes glowed all magically.

But, now that I have accepted that fact, I am less annoyed by it.
