I usually find that prolonged contact with a baby makes me more than happy to not have one, what with the screaming and attempts to kill themselves through sheer stupidity and the constant emitting of various substances from all of their orifices

They also smile, laugh, spend their time being scientists testing out the world they're in, make you realize how amazing everything is when you realize they're seeing it for the first time. They're an up-close study of a person Becoming, born with a personality and watching it blossom and seeing what a fascinating new creature you will have. They're the ultimate example of possibility.
