SHUT YOUR SHITTY MUSIC OFF, YOU FUCKING DIPSHIT IN THE UNIT ATTACHED TO MINE

What the FUCK is WRONG WITH YOU, blasting tunes with the bass so high, my FLOORBOARDS ARE FUCKING VIBRATING? And why the fuck are you doing this AT ELEVEN O'CLOCK AT NIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK, with all your friends over? Makes me wonder what kind of fucking job you have. You must get paid a lot that you can start your weekend on hump day and buy a stereo with speakers strong enough to rattle your neighbors' walls and floors. I sure wish I could be like that, but I have an 8 to 5 like a lot of people in this area and to still be up at midnight or one in the morning because some festering cockpustule thought it was a good idea to throw a party when most people are trying to sleep, won't be helpful to me tomorrow, which just happens to be my most busy day.

Honestly, who in the unholy purple fuck does this shit? Go move into your own fucking house to blast that garbage and leave the rest of us in peace, at least from 10 to 6.

Sadly, I've reported this shitstain multiple times but he juuuuuust manages to lower the volume right before the officers get there. Like fucking crying wolf. FML

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same person leaving their dog turds all over the grass (actually, I'm pretty sure that was a multiple-person effort, and I have no proof Ser Shitstain owns a pet, but it's early and I'm not rested and am feeling spiteful).

Maybe they don't have a job, though--they could be a college lifer with enabling parents and a limitless account at the Bank of Mom and Dad. I'd think a working person would be a bit more aware that the world is full of other working people who need their sleep.

If that's true, I feel sorry for mom/dad. This place.... while not the most expensive, isn't really on the cheap side, either, and not very close to the school.

I really feel bad for you. Something like this happened to my sister when she lived in New Jersey. A Black girl kept booming hip-hop from her apartment and my sister repeatedly asked her to lower it so she could get some sleep (she worked odd hours) and the girl would roll her eyes, sigh, suck her teeth, and say "no" half the time because it was daytime hours. My sister even tried talking to the landlord and the landlord was like "Sorry, they have the right to play their music during the day." My sister ended up having to move out...into an even shittier place with a shittier landlord.

Did you have to specify she was black?

So mentioning the fact that someone is black is now way more offensive than the neighbor's shitty behavior?

That's such bullshit, I'm sorry you have to deal with it. That's the one thing I try to be careful of when I choose a place to live, if it is decently quiet. Not that you had any control over this, I've had a neighbor or two who blast music on the weekends.

It's probably some dumb ass kid. Hope they get shut up soon.

Thing is, the place itself is great. But it's always some douchebag who's new that's ruining the peace for everyone else (the music problem is fairly recent development).

Here is what you must do.

Get even better speakers.

Find out when he sleeps.

At whatever time he will be in the mid-part of his sleep cycle, blast the most hellishly awful dubstep on the planet. (Optional: warn your neighbors before they do this. Chances are, with his behavior, they will support you.)

Do not turn it off until you hear him wake up.

When you hear him wake up, turn it off immediately (that way he can't call the cops on you).

Repeat the next day/night.

And the next.

And the next.

When he finally speaks to you about it, tell him you will stop doing it when he stops having loud parties on weekdays.

Bonus: do this two or three times a night, if need be. Right next to his bedroom wall, if you know where that is.

Alternative: just fucking bang on his wall until he wakes up, multiple times a night, then just say "no, I wasn't doing that... ... ..."

I find that fighting back in kind actually works better than asking people not to do this kind of shit. It has worked for me on multiple occasions.

Trouble is I can't pinpoint the noise 100%. The bass vibrates everywhere, and it's awful if you're trying to sleep. Plus, I'd rather not involve anyone else unless they're playing a part in stopping this asshole. (Also, he's the one playing hellishly awful dubstep in between hip-hop)

I don't know if anyone else has reported the problem or if it just affects me, but I'll be shocked if nobody else has.

Ah, k. If you don't want collateral damage, and you know the basic layout of his unit, I'd suggest the banging.

Honestly, it's seriously depressing how much better retribution works than asking nicely, in my experience. People get really hostile when you ask them to be quiet, for some reason. I guess you're implying that they're being rude, which insults them? Anyhow, until they're punished for doing it (either by the cops or by you) they just won't stop.
