And from what I've seen, they wouldn't have done it for me. I was solely commenting regarding your line "At least the latter have the sense to actually partake in a better telling of the series" because I don't agree that is the case. Just because something is written doesn't mean it is better. There are shittons of issues with the books, and I don't blame anyone for not wanting to read them. (Yes, there are also issues with the show. I am not disputing that.) Your post came across as insufferably smug and considering you were railing about people complaining about the book readers and then acted like a stereotypical book reader, I felt the need to comment upon it.
