I felt that way about Silver Linings Playbook.

It hit close to home and was so much "ick"

then again, in my case it might just be the director, since I wanted to walk out of American Hustle.

Silver Linings Playbook sucked ass!

I loved Silver Linings but absolutely hated American Hustle. It was way too long and poorly edited. It was not entertaining and I felt no sympathy for anyone. The actors were good and all but I couldn't wait for that movie to end.

Silver Linings Playbook had its moments, but yeah, it made me really uncomfortable with how it treated mental illness. I also hated that they once again went for the whole "girl deals with shit by sleeping with everyone and then gets REFORMED by LOVE" bullshit.
