MTE.

I recently had someone defend my choice for writing noncon by saying I might be an abuse victim and this MIGHT be my coping mechanism. As if that's the only way this sort of writing might be excused. When, in reality, it's just fiction, I religiously tag things accordingly, if you're not specifically looking for my kind of kink, you're not going to accidentally click my writing, if you do get triggered just by the rape warning tag that's not my problem. I'm not an abuse victim and I am still fascinated with noncon and I'm tired of having to say that. I'm not a victim of murder (or even violent crime) and I like that too! I'm not a parent and I like kidfic! Will the wonders never cease?! It's almost like I'm using fiction to, I don't know, experience things I wouldn't normally experience???

Sorry I'm bitter. It's one thing if it's just trolls, but to have people who profess to like my writing, but only if I'm an abuse victim writing to cope, is just unpleasant.

Yeah, it makes me crazy when people are like "But wait, this person might be one of the ones it's not okay to bully!" No, you fucking assholes, there shouldn't be ANYONE on the "okay to bully" list.

Like a thing I saw on Tumblr a couple years ago, with someone asking their fellow SJWs to stop using "neckbeard" as an insult, because some people reading it might be perfectly decent trans guys whose beard happens to grow on their neck if they don't shave it. I was just thinking "OH, you came so close! You just need to take ONE more logical step there, to understanding that BOTH trans and cis guys are human beings with feelings. But no."
