I haven't been in Sherlock fandom in a long time, but I just ignore those sort of people as best as possible. (Not so much people who are convinced the ship is going to be endgame because...as much as I don't believe that, it's a harmless enough belief to hold as long as they don't harass other people for not agreeing with it, but the people who DO take it too far, yea, those should be avoided.)

It was easy enough back in the day, but things might be different now.

It's not some lone crazy shipper though. The main BNFs of Team TJLC are the ones doing the harassing. The ones spearheading the TJLC campaign are the ones creating the toxic atmosphere and that causes it to be kind of difficult to ignore.

I didn't think it was a lone shipper (rarely are shippers alone), but I didn't realize there were BNFs who were into it. That's pretty unsettling.

In that case lurking might be best. (Or leaving altogether.) At least until people calm the hell down. (Which I hope is eventually, because the fandom wasn't always this bad. I mean, sure, it had problems, but there was never much wank when I was in it.)
