It really pisses me off when people feel they have to disclose their survivor status in front of a bunch of hostile finger-pointers. No one should ever feel pressured to do that against their will, when they aren't comfortable.

Your history of abuse belongs to you and it is YOUR choice when and if and how you talk about it, and to whom. It's not anybody's business and no one has a "right" to know about it before judging what kind of fiction you like, ffs.
