Re: Asexuality

You should be confused, because that is stupid and doesn't make sense. Sounds like a case of "I want to be special but actually I'm pretty typical".

An asexual person would have NO desire to have sex with anyone at all. I am willing to concede that an asexual person might enjoy masturbating, but by definition, they do not want to have sex with people or feel sexual attraction toward people.

If someone who claims to be asexual has a high sex drive and has sex that they themselves want to have and enjoy with a partner, they are not asexual. I don't care if they say it's "romantic".

+1

it's a case of tumblr making asexual the cool new identity of the day, and people who are clearly not asexual deciding that they want to ID as asexual

I believe there are asexuals, people who don't care about sex at all out there, but a good percentage of "I don't feel sexual attraction...... except in all these cases where I do!" are just kids who don't understand how other human beings function

You can use sex toys but you don't feel attraction to them. Same shit, just choosing to do it with their partners for a more satisfying experience.

If you are literally having sex and enjoying it, you're not asexual.

again, do you think every non asexual on the planet functions within a set parameter of sexuality? many non asexuals would say the same re: having sex b/c they care about their partner even if they don't necessarily get anything out of it. sexuality is complex.
