When you say "single stone bridge", do you mean something like this?

Because this could count as a "single stone bridge", but be wider (after all, it's one bridge, it's just one long one that needs multiple supports):

That sounds like you're pretty golden (no pun intended) though, if you describe the river as "slow going" with maybe some skinnier parts with little rapids, if you want some adventure?

It mentions the water flowing away under its arch, singular, so I guess it must be more like the first one.
