I'm not saying it is, but I've seen/observed a lot of Asian actors/actresses who look the same age for decades.

But... that's a mix of many factors, including your own confirmation bias. Acting is a profession that favors people who age well. If people don't age well, they're more likely to disappear from the public notice by not landing many roles or many prominent roles. It's a film industry thing, not an Asian thing.

I realize people don't mean any harm when they perpetuate the whole "Asians don't age" stereotype, but like I told an anon upthread, I'm trying to gently dissuade people from doing this. It's not nearly as complimentary as people seem to think.

Thank you. I mean that sincerely. I know it seems like a minor complaint when other minority groups face serious repercussions for their perceived negative racial stereotypes but I think it's all cut from the same cloth. Attributing positive traits to members of a particular race is as inaccurate as attributing negative traits by race and I feel like it helps to change peoples' mindset about racial stereotype when we leave both behind.
