I'm a bi guy and I've been reading slash for must be over a decade now. A lot of it is laughably bad, but isn't a lot of fanfic as a whole laughably bad? If you go into fanfiction.net and pick a random slash fic to read, it's more likely than not to be awful... exactly like if you picked a random het fic, or femslash fic
