I'd agree with that evaluation

but that's not nothing

(Although I think Pacific Rim was way more honest and pure and streamlined about doing that, more than any of the Avengers movies have been)

Yeah, I feel like action movies are a lot like pop songs. Pop music is fantastic, but eventually you get tired of even the best pop song if it becomes a mega-hit and dominates the airwaves for like 6 months or something.

That's what I like about them. I just want fun, popcorn movies sometimes. Everything doesn't have to be 12 Yaars a Slave or Gravity.

Heck, I'm a guy who loves to watch Arnold tear the throat out of a muppet vulture once a year. But when every single Marvel film is superlatively compared to Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park, the hype gets a bit much.
