I just want to see something that doesn't end in woman + man = babies

(Anonymous) 2015-07-28 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)

Sure, why not?

So you like your romance with a touch of untimely death and tragedy?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-29 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Someone doesn't read a lot of sci-fi or fantasy. Or mythology, actually, though that usually did end tragically, if mostly for non-biological reasons. Male pregnancy is nothing a little shapeshifting, spells, potions, cloned tissues, in vitro fertilisation, nanotechnology, extra-dimensional pockets, or a dozen other non-standard birthing avenues won't facilitate.

I give less than a mummer's fart about people making mpreg believable in fantasy (although in what I've seen, nanotechnology did a lot of things, but it never made a man's anatomy capable of housing a fetus to full term). The point is, if normal mpreg were possible (not counting women who became men and didn't remove their woman parts), it would end very badly.

But here's a sticker for being so knowledgeable in things that are only possible in make-believe worlds.

Or adoption, previous relationship, ftm pregnancy, surrogacy, co-parenting or other non-traditional arrangement. FFS.

OH

Why, I had never considered it was ever possible for people to acquire the childrens via other methods! Thank goodness you took my comment seriously enough to set me straight!

You set it up like it was an ~absurd possibility. A cute story of men and men ends in babies. Oh my gosh must be mpreg! (And never mind the fact that some men can get pregnant!)

Star Trek Voyager: Threshold, anyone?

Though that was salamander babies, and Paris and Janeway mutated to become salamanders first...

My poor, poor, Star Trek!
