These days it's pretty rare. Unless you want to read two line stories on Tumblr where the only resemblance to the characters is the names, or short stories where they behave like kids out of High School.

THISS! I swear I'm like an old granny in my rocking chair, but it feels like fic was so much more in character back in yon days of yore. What's up with all these teen writers and their OOC-ness? This seems to happen with a lot of fandoms nowadays (hello SPN!) and I've def noticed it in SGA too.
