How was everyone's Thursday?

I finished the bar exam two hours ago and I'm already really, really drunk.

Good luck with the results, and be careful when drunk. You don't want to get disbarred through bad public conduct before you even start.

My thursday was disturbingly boring. The high point was two robins fighting outside my window.

Thanks. And it's okay because I drank in the bar in my hotel, and now I'm in my hotel room. Nothing public. And I'm mostly just a sleepy drunk. And I forgot how much more alcohol affects me when I'm tired. 2 cocktails on 3 hours of sleep was probably not the best plan.

I did not drink enough coffee this morning, but I rectified that at lunch. Good luck with your caffeine high.

Is that what you do after you finish the bar? Drink? Because someone I follow on tumblr is doing the same thing.

I'm just laying around watching wrestling.

Mostly yes you drink and you sleep. Seriously. Two day test, six hours each day, the hardest thing I've ever done. And I mostly haven't drunk anything all summer. I feel like I kind of earned the drink, though admittedly I forgot that it was going to hit me more on account of the 3 hours of sleep.

There's a big sporting event in my town this weekend (Thu-Sun), which happens once a year and it brings a ton of people to town. Since all the hotels are booked they put people in the student apartments, where I live. There's some middle-aged men in my hallway, they've been drunk for the past 7 hours, coming out of their rooms every 20 minutes to sing. They've also been knocking on my door. I can't handle drunk people, so I've mostly been keeping headphones on and trying to ignore them.

I hate this weekend. Worst weekend of the year. Bleh.

Nichelle Nichols did an AMA on reddit. It was super interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of the stuff she said. She praised Gene Roddenberry to the stars. It made me happy.

Also, what the hell? My girlfriend has been studying for months and I knew the test was sometime around now but I lost track of when exactly and she didn't say a word about it. This long distance thing we've been doing since she finished law school and moved back home sucks.

Just got out of Antman. Loved it! Am now eating fancy pizza at a restaurant.

YAY CONGRATULATIONS!

I received a 1.3 on a project I worked the last the two and half months on. 1.0 is the highest grade, 1,3 the second highest, so this is really, realy good. I didn't think I'd get anything better than a 2,0, so I'm absolutely stoked.

I also watched Magic Mike XXL today, which was surprisingly hilarious and awesome. So it's been a great day! :D

I went to a really, really snooze-worthy conference, and skipped a large portion of it to wander around the state museum.

I just finished another job interview. I'm a little worried I don't have enough prior experience, but the job sounds fun and challenging, and I think I communicated how enthusiastic I am to work for them.

My best friend finished hers yesterday! Congrats - that's a huge deal.

Oh my gosh, I hope it went well! Enjoy your well-earned drinks.

I got back from my trip to Alton Towers today so I am very much looking forward to face-planting into my bed.

Went to Gen Con today!

It was fun but not what I hoped. This year they're really doing a lot less with YGO. That and my mood is a bit weird because of family stuff that happened yesterday. Also because of said family stuff I can only go to half of the con, so those things combined make me wish I hadn't pre-ordered my badge, and instead had just gotten a one-day badge and gone tomorrow.

However, I did enjoy myself and hopefully will enjoy myself tomorrow too.

Now I'm relaxing at an hour I'd normally be at work, so no complaints about that! (I think I need it, too.)

Been to the counsellor walking up in what is finally a sunny day. I get to do loads of washing too. I will probably meet my partner/kid for coffee and then maybe see my parents. Then make curtains to have some privacy in my loungeroom. A really routine day. And since I fought off a huge anxiety bout earlier this week, I am so happy about that.

CONGRATS ON TAKING THE BAR!!! I hope that you will be drunk for the next week. I am taking it in 3 years, and I am pre-terrified.

I'm just getting home from seeing Mad Max for the 19th time. It was a lovely day.

A horrible mess.
