I mean

It'll make me like anime more, and I assume you, but I'm really hesitant about assuming that my tastes are shared by anybody except a few other weirdos

Most of the anime I enjoy tends to be 20-30 years old. Been watching the original Patlabor OVA and it's kind of right up my alley. I can't imagine what it'd be like in today's climate.

Like I can't even tell anyone's faces apart in most modern anime. It's maddening.
