Fox doesn't care if it makes them money, that'd be nice though, but it will fulfil the contract specifications of keeping it out of Marvel's hands. Its more about stopping Marvel making a profit on the property than it is making a profit themselves.

TL;DR Marvel ain't never getting those rights back unless they PAY Baby.

Nah. All they gotta do is continue to refuse to sell F4 merch while focusing more and more on MCU characters in their comics (their big line up posted for this year had allllll the MCU people front and center).

Eventually Fox will not be able to afford to keep making the movies and will sell it for dirt cheap.

Yeah, but then Marvel will make money off it. Why give your competitors a way to make money, even if it isn't making money for you? It is a bitch in the manger type of deal.
