A lot of people in this thread are being negative Nancies about it. It's really not that bad. It's very simple and you can turn off all the wonky stuff (it actually asks you if you want to during the upgrade process).

But...it's not really an improvement over 7, so there isn't any reason to upgrade if you're happy with 7.

There are other issues identified in multiple reviews that make me want to wait for a service pack.

I get that, but I'm more talking about the, "I can't turn off automatic updates" and "it will steal all my data and there's nothing I can do" and "turning things off is super complicated" comments.
