Re: How much does gender matter to you?

My own gender is both very important and very unimportant to me. Important because I strongly identify as female and have had to deasl with sexism and know the genders are not treated the same by everyone all the time, and unimportant because I do not strongly associate many behaviors with gender (as far as I'm concerned, watever I'm doing is feminine because I'm female and I'm doing it, although it can also be masculine at the same time) and because, as a cis woman, no one is miss-gendering me asking me to prove my gender.

I exclusively date cis men.

For everyone else (friends, etc.) - a big, fat DO NOT CARE. There's no reason it would matter. Yeah, I'd always want some female friends, but that's no different than wanting at least some of your friends to be your age or to live nearby. The rest can be a miscellaneous assortment.
