Why does this make you a "special snowflake"? This sounds fair enough? Some people just don't like things in their games. Just like people like certain things in their fanfiction or books.

The only way you would be a "special snowflake" is if you pushed your preferences on other people or tried to claim that the games you don't like shouldn't be made.

But just having preferences? Nothing wrong with that,

Laws, is that what we've come to in this internet age? People are so shell-shocked from get torn to shreds by awful commenters that they feel obligated to apologize for their simple tastes. It's such a shame.

It is. I blame the over-reactionary aversion to "SJWs" for the OP's particular fear. Some people take their aversion to "tumblr special snowflakes" so far that they will attack people who have genuine problems or needs.

I see it alot. Someone meets an annoying disabled person? All disabled people are self-diagnosed special snowflakes who want special treatment.
