It's fine to love RPGs but not like the violence.

Here are some recs for games that don't involve the main character killing hordes of monsters.

Soul Bubbles
Professor Layton
Wallace & Gromit
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
Octodad
Hatoful Boyfriend
Submachine
Hotel Dusk
Broken Sword
Monkey Island
Attack of the Friday Monsters

Or you could try really cartoony RPGs like Pokemon where the defeated party just faints and doesn't really get hurt.
