N!S: I have just one RL fandom friend. She is the only person I can talk to about fanfiction, fanart, etc.

S: She has terrible taste. Everything she recommends, everything she favourites, is an unending stream of poor characterisation, bad pacing, lazy dialogue, and incredibly overdone plots; topped off with a complete lack of care for spelling, punctuation, or grammar.

But... I've got no-one else to talk to.
And I feel guilty for thinking of her this way.

I had a dream I was in high school and a celebrity I admire was my substitute teacher. It was a montage without the actual lessons. I think it was a science subject.
I don’t think he was famous in the dream. He stood on a table to introduce himself and generally came across as a bit eccentric, but not OO(public)C, IMO. It was implied he taught properly, but not too seriously. And he didn’t wear socks (OOC...I think).

I was realistically awkward, but was a teacher’s pet by virtue of being the only student who cared about the class and kind of “got” what he was trying to do. I’m not sure he really liked me, but I liked him as a teacher in-dream.

Secret because I’m tempted to be my own untrained psychoanalyst and say it’s something unsubtle about role models and my desire for approval. And it’s embarrassing regardless of if I buy that interpretation.

That's a good point, OP. I knew several soldiers who were barely 5'0". Height does not make anybody a super-soldier, or even a regular one.
