Now that we have the revelation about Hulk Hogan being a racist piece of shit, how do you feel about his lawsuit against gawker? are you hoping it will be successful? Did you hope he would be successful before this whole thing came out? Is your answer based on your love of Hulk Hogan or your hatred of Gawker?

Yes, I hope he is successful. Being racist doesn't mean you can leak people's nudes. If he was a woman you would not be asking.

Plus he was filmed without his knowledge. Just because Gawker (and I'm convinced it was Gawker) leaked the racist shit, doesn't make the invasion of privacy by first filming, then putting that sex tape up for all to see without Hogan's consent right.

I think you don't know what "rights" actually are.

I don't know anything about Hogan or his lawsuit but I hate Gawker and want someone to hurt it.

He's a shitty person and they are a shitty site for posting the tape. His success in suing them doesn't in any way salvage his character or negate him being shit, but it would help set an important precedence for people's whose nudes have been leaked against their will.

True, but two wrongs don't make a right either. Meaning releasing his racisit and homophobic langage does not in anyway, make his being filmed without his consent (by the woman he slept with and her now - ex husband), and Gawker putting said video up on its website without Hogan's consent right in any stretch of the imagination.

Well, I go into this hating Hulk Hogan and kind of loving Gawker. So keep that in mind.

That said, I don't think the fact that he's a racist piece of shit should have any bearing on the lawsuit. Either it was legally actionable what they did, or it wasn't. I hope the lawsuit doesn't succeed, because I want Gawker to exist, but I do think it was probably wrong for them to publish it.

There's a gag - order on Gawker, so one presumes they surrepticiously sent the race and gay stuff anonoymously to the National Enquierer so it could be released that way.
