the rules of chess are easy as heck though. if you can play candy crush, you can play chess.

all you have to remember is the movement of 6 pieces, plus maybe 4 rules to learn the game.

sorry, I'm probably projecting because one of my friends is so stubborn about not being able to learn it... she can remember the rules of complex board games whose rules take 1h to read out, but once she thinks she can't do something she won't even try

... I hate to admit this but I've never played Candy Crush. Never had much desire to, and when I heard how addictive it was for some people I figured it was for the best I didn't start, lol.

However, I'm not against learning chess! It never really came up tbh, and I never went out of my way to learn. I don't think I'm incapable (Especially if there aren't all that many rules) or anything, so it's not a case of being convinced I'm bad at it, just one of inexperience.

Maybe I should buy a cheap set and give it a shot?

I was giving it as example because Candy Crush is supposedly easy :P but yeah, it's nice to hear that you're principally open to playing it. even though it really shouldn't be my business.

many pcs also have a chess game installed, if you want to give it a try

I don't think mine does, but there might be one available for download for free. I might check that out, actually. Or maybe I could find one on my phone...

Wouldn't have thought of that, thanks!
