Well to be fair, European people can have a lot of skin variance. Without looking at a picture, I seem to imagine Eren with a darker skin shade that Mikasa and Armin. And if you draw/color a picture, it's not like you're using that photoshop pixel color copying tool to make sure you're using the exact right color. I wouldn't look too far into that.

Yeah, but there's a difference between "slightly darker" and the way a lot of people draw him, which is out-and-out dark skinned.

It's especially silly because some people try to give him Turkish heritage because of the name (which is legitimate), but loads of Turkish people are not MEGA BROWN the way people like drawing Eren. It's poc brownie points.

The one that would be counted as Japanese would be Mikasa. The other characters looks like they have European heritage.
