It's mostly smut and projection given that we know next to nothing about Kid (and hes probably ded now RIP him, killer, hawkins, and apoo). However, Kid does have interest in Law - and Luffy - given that when Luffy went AWOL and Law became a Warlord he expressed disappointment and relief when they showed up again. But that's rival stuff.

Otherwise it's just personality clash which does lead to great smut, but yeah, that's it. Also bound to happen when theyre the two most popular supernovas outside of Zoro and Luffy.
