...I feel the same way. To me, L was more cunning: He managed to get the law on his side first. ;) Looking dorky and clueless is actually a smarter move to throwing people off his scent. heh.

Also, if it weren't for the fact Light's dad kept 'getting in the way', the possibility he'd planned more 'victims' on deathrow to flush Kira out is high on my books.

The uncanniess in humanising Light when he took over L also contributed to my opinion on just how both are more similiar to each other than they are different, with L taking more of a lead in my books, because the author succeeds in personifying the image he *wants* you to see. (I think most people would agree that if he weren't in the role of the atypical genius good guy, he'd be creepy fanboy shit.)

ROTFL. as you can see I couldn't possibly fit all that into a secret. Ah, that felt good. XD
