I know what I did wrong and I'm sorry. I don't know what I do wrong until its too late. I regret all the annoying things I said.

But why do you guys have such problems with my fics? Yes, they are ridiculous, but thats just because I chose to write that way. Just because my fics aren't as serious as yours doesn't mean they can be hated. Yes they can be a little annoying, but I'm not the only one who does that. i'm pretty sure there will be more people who'll write crossdressing and stuff. I know I shouldn't have stolen her stuff, but I didn't realize that it was bad because my sister said that her ideas weren't trademarked or had copy rights. So partially it's my sister's fault for encouragin me. And I never meant to think of you guys as hard assed and bitchy, I just was in a bad mood and decided to get stupid on it. i'm just an idiot, ok?

I agree, crack fics are nice every once in a while; it's nice to have some lighthearted fics out there in fandom. But really, what point was there to have the characters crossdressing? I don't understand what the need is to have that. There is a good way to incorperate humerous ideas into a fic without messing up the cannon so much that it hurts. Hell, I've read some great humerous fics in the year I've been following fandom, but they always seem to keep the cannon intact at least a little bit.

"Yes they can be a little annoying, but I'm not the only one who does that. i'm pretty sure there will be more people who'll write crossdressing and stuff."
Up until the past few months, the fandom was pretty civilized and friendly, but I do agree, people will come with more of these kinds of fics. Sadly, I knew that day would come sooner or later.

Okay, I? personally have problems with your fics because they're OOC and you don't care that they're OOC. You might as well be writing about original characters wearing Reborn! characters' skins. Because that's what it is. If you'd changed the names, I wouldn't have recognized the characters at all.

Hell, the crossdressing plot? There are a lot of ways it could be done ICly. But you don't try. You bring in this "American Hiruma" girl who forces them, and the way they react isn't even close to how they would react ICly. I got linked to the Xanxus chapter and was wondering who the fuck was this wimp was. That wasn't the Xanxus I'd read about in canon. So how was this even fanfiction in the first place?

[identity profile] yaoitomboy.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well the idea of Xanxus crossdressing wasn't even mine...

[identity profile] suntea.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
You're really not seeing the point here.

No, the idea wasn't, but the execution of the idea was. My point was, even if the scenario was crack, you could have written his reactions in a perfectly in character manner. Oh, unless his reactions aren't yours either, someone else told you to write them that way?

I'm not in your fandom, but here's a protip for you. You see this part of the apology? I know I shouldn't have stolen her stuff, but I didn't realize that it was bad because my sister said that her ideas weren't trademarked or had copy rights. So partially it's my sister's fault for encouragin me.

Part of how you make a proper apology is to take responsibility. Say "I'm sorry, I should not have done that" and show that by changing your behavior. Blaming your actions on your sister does nothing.

Similarly, "I was in a bad mood and decided to get stupid" does not count as an excuse. You are responsible for your actions, and for the consequences of your actions, whether or not you are in a bad mood, whether or not you have Asperger's Syndrome. (And I do happen to know functional people both IRL and in fandom who are aspie, and part of why they are so functional is that they've learned to give an honest apology. Learn that skill, it will be very important no matter who you are in life.)

[identity profile] suntea.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
As other people had said--it's not really an issue of you yourself. I'm sure you're a good person, it's just the things you do. Please learn to think before you act. How would you feel if someone offered something you wanted, but only in exchange for something else, when they could easily give it to you for free? It just doesn't seem fair, considering the amount of time that a few members take to scan, write, and draw things for other fans in the community.

As for your fanfics? I myself don't see what fun there is if you don't even try. What's the fun of fanfiction if you don't even try to keep them in character? There's nothing really wrong with what you write, it's the fact that you're not even trying to keep their canon-personalities intact.

And as other people have also said; apologizing is easy, showing that you're sorry is another story. Instead of placing the blame on others, show a little more maturity about what you've done.

Well...I'm trying to get them in character. But usually their personalities tend to lead to angst sometimes and i'm not good at writing angst. I'm currently working on a fanfic for a friend (thats right, everyone take cover D: )But i'm going to try to make them IC this time.
