Well, you've been pretty much getting a lot of flak all evening, so I'm not going to metaphorically smack you through the computer or anything. But there are things that have to be reiterated.

Firstly: the RP fiasco. Taking anything and copying it word for word, or even just changing 'a few things,' is a no-no. If you ask the original creator for permission and it's given, go for it. But plagiarizing anything, even something as small as the rules for an RP, is wrong. And going so far as to delete comments that disagreed with your viewpoint was bad form. Deleting any comments just because you don't agree with them isn't viewed upon kindly on lj. Just for future reference. But you've already apologized for that.

But you're also a bit elitest about things. A friend of mine mentioned something about you claiming you were a 'peacemaker' of sorts. Now, the thing about the internet is that, even if you mean those things in jest, unless you state that and make it obviously clear, some people will always take it the wrong way. Especially if you're being elitist - if people don't put up with elitisms from BNFs who have actually made a large, positive impact on any particular fandom, it's even worse for someone relatively new to a fandom to act like they're anything special in a fandom. Because we're all equal here, and being nice to each other and treating each other as best we can is the only way we'll be able to keep Reborn! as wankfree as it is right now. But if people like you start 'stirring things up,' even if it's not on purpose, people will jump all over you.

And the thing about your OOC fanfiction, etc. Now, I've never read anything you've written - I tend to stay within the realms of GokuTsuna, ColoLal, and a few others myself - but this is the thing: you do have the right to whatever the hell you want. But people also have the right to dislike it and make fun of it. The issue here is with the subject of your fiction. Very few people like OOC. Plenty of people like crack. But crack does not have to be OOC. If you want to crossdress Tsuna and co., you can do it, and it can be done well. Hell, I've written crossdressing fic before. The point here, though, is that if you want anyone to like what you write, everything has to have motivation. Why are they crossdressing? Is it some event that Reborn organized, ala the Halloween chapter? Is it something like a school play or a job? If that's the case, you also need to justify the characters. Yamamoto might crossdress if he thinks it's part of the mafia game. Tsuna might, if Reborn makes him. Gokudera might, if Tsuna does. Chrome probably wouldn't have a problem dressing up. But if you put Hibari or Mukuro or even Ryohei in dresses, you need a reason. Of course, you have every right to write it without a reason, but people will dislike it. It's their right. The thing about fanfiction, if you want people to like it, is to make it believable. Crack is excellent, but even crack needs a motivation. Crack!fic can be fun, but most of the fun of writing a crack fanfiction is trying to figure out why they're doing the things they're doing. Why are Mukuro and company dancing the macarena? Why is Tsuna skydiving off an airplane? There are a thousand odd ideas that can be written, but if you want people to enjoy the fic, they need to have a reason. Things need to go in a logical progression. Otherwise, you might like what you write, but other people probably will not.

And the thing about yaoi. I like yaoi *points up at GokuTsuna*. A ton of my favorite pairings are boy/boy. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. There's also nothing wrong with only liking boy/boy. Again, it's your right. But when yaoi is the only thing you talk about, people WILL get annoyed. Because there are also plenty of other people who like het, or yuri, or all of them, and when you talk only about any yaoi, all the time, people will get annoyed. Just like they would get annoyed if you only talked about yuri, or if you only talked about het, or if you only talked about gen. Talking all the time about one single thing is, frankly, irritating. So just cool down on the spazziness. There's a term for people who are like that, but it's impolite and rude, so I won't use it.

Anyway. That's about all the advice I can give you. Along with: lay low for a bit. This will pass, probably, and people will forget about it, or at least not feel the sting of it anymore. Otherwise, just try to be nice, but don't be aggressive about it, and pipe down on the elitism. But I will really, really recommend the bit about fanfiction. I'm a writer, and while I don't think I'm very good at it, I do love reading well written fics, and while this fandom already has some very talented artists/authors/etc., it'd always be nice to have more. Just keep on trying, and please do your best to listen to criticism. If people dislike your fics, it's because they have a reason, and in most cases, they're valid reasons. Criticism hurts, but it's very, very valuable. Good luck.
