Also, the most common "Doom caused kids to shoot up a school" was Columbine. And the shooters of Columbine did not in fact play Doom.

No, it really doesn't. It's clear that Harris was a bonafide psychopath. If not for Doom, it'd have been something else. I've played his Doom levels; some of them are actually not bad (by late 90s standards anyway) but some of the sprite edits and the accompanying text files he wrote (all user-made Doom levels must have a text file accompanying them describing the level before being submitted to archives like /idgames) speak to something disturbing. Now, some kids grow out of that shit, but Harris clearly didn't.
