Was the FF7 verse basically through (new games would be released every once in a while, but I didn't keep up with them)? If the remake does indeed change things in the verse and there are further games couldn't they be set in the remake verse? (So even though the old verse would exist, it would no longer be continued like with DMC?)
Devil May Cry reboot did stop the old verse from being expanded the same way the Tomb Raider reboot did, but as sad as that makes me, tbh I genuinely enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot and am glad it exists.
