The last one is because skirts in the middle generally make people look shorter and their legs stumpy. I for one really hate the way I look in mid-length skirts. I only will wear either maxi or knee length or higher.

Mid-length is fine in a narrow skirt, I think. But otherwise, I see your point.

That might actually be true. Never tried because I have wide thighs and calves so while I can do a kind of narrow pencil skirt, anything longer and I wouldn't be able to walk.

Well, yeah, the drawback is that you'd be wearing a narrow skirt.
